The Youth and Freelancer Section of the Trade Media of Union of Montenegro (TUMM), in cooperation with the Faculty of Political Sciences and the Montenegrin Association of Political Science Students MAPSS, organized the forum “Do we know our labor rights?”.
Predrag Nikolić, a journalist from the weekly “Monitor” and a member of the Main Board of the TUMM, and Ivana Vlaović, coordinator of the Youth and Freelancer Section, spoke at the lecture.
We spoke to future journalists about the challenges of being a journalist, but also about the beautiful side of journalism. A special focus was on union organizing of young people and the importance of protecting labor rights. Young journalists shared with us their experiences during internships in certain media, but also expressed their interest in the legal regulation of certain types of work engagement.
After the forum, the Youth and Freelancer Section of the SMCG is richer with about 25 members.
