The workshop, held on June 21 and 22 in Bar, brought together media professionals with the aim of strengthening their capacity to recognize and foster a safe and supportive working environment.
Through interactive sessions led by psychologist Dragana Đokić, participants explored topics such as building trust, effective team communication, stress management, and practical strategies for maintaining mental health in day-to-day work.

The second day focused on sharing experiences through group work, applying what had been learned, and reinforcing peer support as the foundation of a psychologically safe work environment.
Through group activities and joint analysis of real-life scenarios, participants examined ways to build an atmosphere of mutual trust and collegial support, as well as how to protect their own well-being in challenging professional circumstances.

The workshop concluded with the message that psychological safety must become a standard in every newsroom and every team.

As highlighted, the psychological well-being of media workers is a prerequisite for preserving professional integrity, freedom of expression, and responsible reporting in the public interests.
