By The Trade Union of Media of Montenegro (TUMM) recently visited its members in several municipalities across Montenegro, with the aim of discussing working conditions and current challenges in the media sector.
During the visit to RTV Herceg Novi, union members spoke about the conditions in which they work, the challenges they face, and the need to improve the position of employees in local public broadcasters.
The meeting also addressed the importance of signing a sectoral collective agreement for the media industry, while TUMM President Radomir Kračković presented the current status of the negotiations.
Another topic discussed was the amendments to the Law on Audiovisual Media Services, particularly whether the provisions envisaging increased budget allocations for local public broadcasters are being adequately implemented in practice.
The local public broadcaster in Herceg Novi employs 44 people, 35 of whom are members of the Trade Union of Media of Montenegro.
