Trade Union of Media of Montenegro (TUMM) representatives participated on Sunday, November 24, in the Media Union Collaboration Forum, held in Tirana.
The forum was organized to strengthen cross-border cooperation among media unions in the region, exchange knowledge and experiences, and improve working conditions for media workers.
During the forum, TUMM members shared their extensive experience in protecting the rights of media employees, leading campaigns to improve the position of workers, as well as negotiating and concluding collective agreements that safeguard employee rights.
“Our years of experience in the fight for the rights of media workers show how important solidarity is, both within a single country and among unions at the regional level,” stated SMCG representatives.
The forum also aimed to create a stronger network of collaboration in the field of media rights, combat insecure forms of employment, and raise awareness about the importance of union organizing in the media industry.
The message from the forum was clear: the rights of media employees must be a priority, and joint efforts and cross-border cooperation are essential to achieving this goal.
TUMM continues its mission to support media workers through collaboration with unions in the region and beyond.
